Tebow Time

Tim Tebow is the quarterback of the Denver Broncos, a former Heisman trophy winner and two-time national champion in NCAA football. But ever since jumping into the NFL, being a 1st round draft pick, there have been expectations that according to "experts", he hasn't lived up to.

However, there's one thing that these so-called "experts" seem to ignore. Tebow is 8-2 all time in the NFL as a starting quarterback. When all odds are against him, when the game is on the line, 4th quarter, clock winding down, he always seems to win.

Whether it was a month ago against the Miami Dolphins when Tebow led the Broncos in the 4th quarter to become the first team in NFL history to overcome a 15+ point deficit with 3 minutes or less left in a game and win, or last night to come from behind against the Chargers and pull off the upset in overtime with 30 seconds left - he wins.

In all 6 of his starts this season, Tim Tebow's Broncos have been the underdog, pulling off the upset win in 5 of those 6 contests. Tebow has become such a clutch player in the NFL that when the game seemed to be comfortably in San Diego's hands last night, Rich Eisen from the NFL network Tweeted "Everyone adjust your clocks, it's tebow time!" And just like that, #TEBOWTIME became a WORLDWIDE trending topic.

What's my point? Tebow has had a dark cloud of doubt hovering over him since being drafted, even more since becoming the starting quarterback. And throughout his well-below passing numbers and his NFL record 22 quarterback carries in last nights football game, however unconventional that might be, he still wins. When he's up against the wall, he wins.

With his recent spike of popularity in recent polls, President Obama seems to have taken a few pointers from Tebow's playbook.

Is it Obama Time?

We all remember 2008. The country was in a recession, in fear of a depression. There was no hope, the apocalypse seemed to be upon us. The 2012 end of the world theory sprung up after 2007 years of being a non-issue.

Then entered Barack Obama, the no-name candidate that everyone doubted could even gain his own party's nomination - the guy with the funny sounding name. THAT guy, is now the President.

Tim Tebow, who was referred to as the possible "13th disciple" on Twitter by Deion Sanders because of Tebow's strong religious beliefs coupled with his late game heroics that seem to be nothing short of divine intervention, Obama seems to be getting the last laugh as well.

In much the same way that the San Diego Chargers were scrambling, looking for a way to contain the "13th disciple" last night. The Republican Party is scrambling to find a nominee to challenge the 44th President of the United States. While Tebow is winning, so is Obama. With a recent 6 point jump in the latest polls, his popularity seems to be gaining strength with the 4th quarter approaching, less than a year away from the general election.

With one of the most influential conservative media publications in the country endorsing Newt Gingrich over the weekend, despite Mitt Romney leading most major polls, the Republican Party seems conflicted, lost. Stuck in the mud.

Even though the economy isn't working the way it should be. It's better now than it was when President Obama took office. So through all that anti-government rhetoric the Republicans are throwing around, trying to score those final points with the political ticker winding down. America still sort of sees them the same way all of America saw the Chargers last night when their clock was winding down - like losers.

They were at Tim Tebow's mercy. Only He could lose that game -San Diego couldn't take it from him.

The election of 2012? Only Obama could lose it - The Republicans can't take it from him.

So adjust your clocks everyone, it's Obama time.
